Aged 15 to 24 and unsure what to do next be would like to get back into learning or employment?  We have two courses that you might be interested in.



If you want to move onto a College course, Traineeship, Apprenticeship or Employment, then #Lifegoals is a great place to start.  The #Lifegoals courses are run in a few different places for different things:

  • NEET course: Interested in employability, independence skills, sporting activities  and where appropriate work experience and volunteering opportunities?  The NEET course is a great way to get some qualifications and find your next steps.  This course is run by the Brighter Futures Team at Orford Youth Base. 1 day a week for 12 weeks or 2 Days a week for 14 weeks.
  • Young Parent’s programme: Are you aged 17 or older and have just become a parent?  The young parent’s programme can help you learn how to care for your baby and get some independence.  You’ll get qualifications in employability and it can help you get work experience or volunteering.  The programme runs over 18 weeks, one session a week at either the Sandy Lane Children’s Centre or the Sunshine Children’s Centre.  We can also offer a creche if it’s needed.

If you might like to move onto an College course, Traineeship or an Apprenticeship.

This is for 15 to 24 year-olds and will support and inspire you into education or training. you’ll get one-to-one support and in some cases group work sessions to help develop and improve your employability skills. This course can help you prepare for your next steps in Education, an Apprenticeship or a Traineeship.  Support can be provided with setting up a work experience or volunteering placement.
